According to the video, the US Rangers were deployed with Indian special forces to jointly execute Operation Desert Lark which focused on counterinsurgency raids. The operation had an airborne component utilizing aerial incursion methods (fast-roping) as well as combined US-India buddy teams. The end of the video includes MG Francis Wiercinski and an Indian General addressing the combined troops.

Live Fire Range Competition
U.S. and Indian Soldiers compete in a live fire range held during the Yudh Abhyas exercise 2012. The units that took part were from U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) including the A troop 2-14 Cav 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division from Schofield Barracks, Hawaii and the 6th Engineer Battalion (Airborne), 2nd Engineer Brigade out of Ft. Richardson, Alaska.
